About Victor

A little history

Like all great concepts, Victor Predictor appears simple, and not without good reason; the very beauty of the game lies in it's simplicity.

To trace the game's origins we have to go back to 1986 where we find a Mr. Kevin Fisher (Victor's founder and creator): and a life long football supporter locked in a heated discussion as to which team would win the old First Division and FA Cup. When his adversary proposed a different pair of teams, the selections were recorded and the challenge was set. With a handshake and a small wager agreed, the friends parted and the football season commenced.

When the end of the season came, both competitors were dismayed to find their early season predictions so far from the mark. There has to be a winner though, so it was decided that the player 'closest' to being correct would take the spoils ’ however with just two predictions, it wasn't easy trying to determine the victor!

When the following season began, a more complex version of Victor Predictor had evolved, with predictions in the League Cup and the old Second Division included. Word soon spread that Victor was a great game to play and as more people joined, the format and predictions expanded further.

With the advent of the Premier League in England, international coaches started to arrive at the top clubs and world class players were signed from all four corners of the globe. This gave the British public a fresh perspective on alternative football methods and ideas, particularly those coming from Europe and more interest was shown towards the continental clubs and their players.

It was a natural progression for ‘Victor’ to include the best divisions in Europe within it’s structure with a top four basis being implemented. This increased the interest in the game even further with more and more football fans wanting to prove their knowledge by playing the game. As more people joined and the prize money increased it became apparent that payments should be made to the competitors in the top four standings. Thus increasing the chance to win a considerable sum for a small outlay.

Alongside the League predictions are Single Categories to predict including the Premierships top goal scorer and Champions League top scorer. Here you will also find the winners of both English domestic cups to predict as well as Europe’s top hot shot, PFA and European players of the year and of course the Champions League. Victor is only concerned with the best so it's the winners that earn the points.

The beauty of Victor Predictor is that it slowly grows over a football season. Simply make your predictions using a little skill and knowledge and you may be the person who scoopes the top prize. And remember you can enter as many times as you like and make changes during the half-time window.
