Birmingham, Fulham + Sunderland given boost.

Strugglers Fulham, Birmingham and Sunderland were given something of a boost with the news that Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen will miss the rest of the season with a back problem.
The 32-year-old Finland international missed the 1-0 defeat away to Wigan on Sunday, with Oman's Ali Al Habsi deputising between the posts, and there is a good chance Jaaskelainen will be sorely missed as Bolton presently have the second best defensive record from all those in the bottom half of the table.
Bolton was always going to find it difficult to score once they allowed Nicolas Anelka to leave for Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, and if their goals against column was to grow nearer to that of their rivals then the trap door may well open a little wider for Gary Megson's team
The Bolton manager stated, "He needs six weeks of rest to try and resolve this problem, and he is going to need some form of surgery."
"Either way, his season is over."
Bolton also has former Tottenham goalkeeper Ian Walker in their squad, but to lose a player of Jaaskelainen's quality can only hamper their chances.
The Trotters have a tough finish to their season with encounters against all of the top three, and they will need some big results as their only fixture against a team that is near them in the table is the home match with Sunderland on the penultimate weekend of the season.
